What's Stick for India?Stick for India is a social project founded in 2005 by three international hockey players: Santi Freixa, Litus Ballbč and Andreu Enrich.
We are promoting the sport in the rural district of Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh State): one of the poorest areas in the country.
Our aim is to use the sport as a social development tool for the children. With the regular hockey practise the kids can get all the sport benefits. Benefits like: teamwork, a healthy life, empathy, emotional intelligence, training sacrifices, etc
After three years of continuous work in the district, more than 600 boys and girls are enjoying the sport in their lives. We have sponsored schools, organized hockey camps, coached Indian trainers, created a hockey academy and improved sport infrastructures of the local centers.
